The 2024 Christmas coffee from Zoégas is a blend that has been carefully roasted and ground in a limited edition. The blend consists of flavorful Arabica beans from Rwanda, balanced with beans from India and Colombia, among others. The result is a mild and full-bodied blend with notes of dark chocolate and lingonberry, where the sweetness of the Indian beans highlights the fruitiness of the coffee from Rwanda and Colombia.

- The work to produce the Christmas coffee is always just as exciting and we know that it is a very long-awaited product for many consumers. Our Christmas coffee brightens and warms the Christmas season, says Lisa Irell, Senior Brand Manager at Zoégas.

Support for school children in Rwanda

Every year, Zoégas invests in a sustainability project linked to the origin of the beans in the current blend. This year, Zoégas has chosen to support the children of coffee farmers in three schools in Mpanga, Rwanda, by providing them with sports equipment. The purpose of the project is to encourage the children to be physically active at school in order to create good conditions for better health, well-being and social development. In addition, it is expected to lead to increased community, strengthened self-confidence and improved performance in school.

- Our projects in the countries of origin are always well anchored and grounded in the needs that exist in the countries of origin. We listen to and work closely with our partners in these countries to ensure that we do the right things and that it has a good outcome for the local people, says Minette Rosén, head of raw coffee at Zoégas.

Zoégas has previously participated in a project together with Öresundskraft to install solar cells at a coffee station in the same region and then distributed rechargeable flashlights to students so that they could study even after dark. Long-term commitment is important to Zoégas and this is another step in support for this region and school students. Read more about it here.

- The basic philosophy is that our sustainability work should permeate the entire operation and be a long-term and pragmatic commitment. We work with sustainability throughout the coffee chain, from bean to cup, says Minette Rosén.
