BONG

In 1890, Gustaf Bong started a spice and delicatessen shop in Ystad, and connoisseurs considered that the shop's pickles with small peas, carrots, pickled onions and sauerkraut were in a class with the best French counterparts. At the time, canned food was a luxury and the customers were mainly in castles and manors in the neighbourhood.

The movement flourished and Gustaf Bong AB later became a pioneering company in the canning industry. One hundred years later, ready-made stock was launched first for commercial kitchens and then for consumers who like to cook, still with the same pioneering spirit, quality thinking and care.
