ABBA

Abba is an abbreviation of AB Bröderna Ameln and was registered in 1906. However, the company was already founded in 1838 by the brothers' father whose company name, unlike the sons', was never lent to any pop group. Apart from the name being the slightly less cliche Christian Gerhard Ameln A/S, pop music had not yet been invented.
