Made in Sweden in 1975s.
Drejargruppen was an artist collective that worked within Rörstrand (porcelain brand) during the 1970s. The members of the group were never published at that time, but the estate was signed only with the word Drejargruppen and year.
The turning group was marketed as "An ordinary group of people with an unusual amount of art in their fists". The objects are typically seventies with pottery-like decorations, painted ribbons and solid chamotte style.
Drejargruppen's products were in time and with their consumer-friendly style, the collections became one of Rörstrand's sales successes in the 1970s. From 1974 the goods were exported, first to the factory's large foreign markets Germany and the USA. The Drejargruppen's work ceased with the new investment in Rörstrand's art department in 1981-82, when artists and designers were hired again.
The lighter is 11 cm heigh and in working condition.
