The product has been around since the 1940s and contains several softening fats and is anhydrous. Initially, it was used primarily within the Swedish Armed Forces to prevent skin ulcers and protect the skin from cold in conscripts.
The main use today is as a lip balm and to soften dry, chapped and cracked skin on the feet, elbows, face or other parts of the body. It is also useful for preventing abrasies.
The product provides an invisible layer of fat on dry lips and skin.
