Great plover (Numenius arquata) is a bird that belongs to the woodcock family within the order Waders. It breeds in Europe and Asia in farmland and marshes. The species is greatly decreasing in number, so much so that the world population is now considered to be near threatened, while in Sweden it is categorized as highly threatened.
Staffan Johnson, son of Jie, worked at JIE Ceramics. He drew patterns for Jie in his young years and became a permanent employee.
He was also a partner in the company. He was also an ornithologist so there were many bird paintings.
He also knew other animals and was diligently involved in production, he managed to make about 200 new models for Jie.
