Brewing tips
Black tea
The brewing temperature for black teas is between 96 - 98 degrees. The reason for the different temperatures for the different types of tea is that flavors become soluble at different temperatures, too hot water usually results in the tea leaves being burned.
Black teas are dosed one teaspoon per cup and have a brewing time of about 4 minutes. If the tea is to be drunk with milk, let it steep a little longer. Be vigilant with the brewing time because the tannins in black tea quickly develop a bitter taste.
