🍓 Swedish Cardamom Rusk Parfait
(Svensk dessert med kardemummaskorpor, bär & grädde)
A layered dessert with crushed rusks, whipped cream, and berries — simple, elegant, and full of flavor.
🥄 Ingredients (serves 2):
4–6 Garant Cardamom Rusks
1–2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
150 ml whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
1 dl fresh or frozen berries (raspberries, strawberries, or lingonberries)
Optional: a spoonful of berry jam or a few mint leaves for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions:
Crush the rusks roughly in a bowl. Mix with melted butter and a little sugar if desired. Set aside.
In another bowl, whip the cream with vanilla until soft peaks form.
Layer in glasses or dessert bowls: a spoonful of crushed rusks, a layer of berries, and a layer of whipped cream. Repeat once more.
Top with a few whole berries, a sprinkle of crushed rusks, and a mint leaf if you like.
💡 Tip: For an extra flavor twist, soak the rusks briefly in a bit of coffee or liqueur before layering.
